Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Florence. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

"Aunt" Florence touched many children's lives. I was one of those lucky children. We kept in touch sporadically over the years as well. I will miss her Christmas cards & letters. It's sad to lose elders who gave you special memories. My condolences to her family & friends.

Am so sorry that I can not be with at the funeral, but prior obligations prevent it. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Aunt Florence will always be remembered.

My thoughts and condolences go out to the family at this time. "Mrs Muse" was an inspiration to me in my childhood, especially in Vacation Bible School and Sunday School at Oak Grove Baptist Church. She encouraged me to study and think about what I was doing, and she offered support to me and my family in sad times. God bless you and keep you always.

Will miss this lady so much. She brought so much into my life as she shared hers with me. I typed many of her books. But not "Memories" which she wrote and sent to us shortly after we were married. Helped her publish them and it was a real joy and privilege to be called her God-daughter. She met Manon when he was only 9 and lived in "Grandma's Place" as Florence called it. So many memories are flashing through my mind. My excitement at finally getting to meet face to face just a few months before Goodwin passed away. Then in 2010 Manon and I got to meet her together and spent several days there and met Doug and her neighbor, Bill, and Betty, her "angel". My heart goes out to you as you also share the grief of her passing. God bless you and we will one day meet her again on the other side where we can again share our memories and all she has learned since she got there....she will want to update us on everything as soon as we arrive!!
