Lynn Howard Bowers, age 77, of Callao, Virginia departed his Earthly life on July 16, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Pamela Lowenthal Bowers. Born in Washington, D.C. to Maurice Bowers and Charlotte Neal Bowers who had deep roots in the Northern Neck. Upon retirement Lynn returned with his wife to those roots and settled in at Mundy Point. He is also survived by his in-laws Kathryn and Brian Koch of California and Lt. Col. Phil Lowenthal of Idaho and dear first cousin Sandra Bailey. He cared deeply about his friends and family, especially the Koch family.
Lynn was extremely patriotic. He served in the United States Army and loved his country immensely. He especially enjoyed the company of the Tuesday night dinner group, with whom prayer and laughter were always there. Lynn adored all of his Mundy Point friends and neighbors and he will be remembered by them and others for his ability to uplift people and to make them laugh.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 23rd, 2018 at the Welch Funeral Home Marks Chapel with Pastor Joe Walter Jones officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Henderson United Methodist Church.
