Waid Howard Stubbs, 71, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was a mineral miner for over fifty years, an avid hunter and fisherman, a member of the Moose Lodge and NRA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Nichols Johnson; parents, Adner and Ester Stubbs; daughter, Robin Julia Ludwig and brother, Nile Vance Stubbs. He is survived by a daughter, Kelli Lester (Stuart) of Warsaw; step daughters, Kimberley Jackman and Brandi Ford of Iowa and their children, Kayleigh, Brittney, Logan, Seair and Skyland; brothers, Leslie Stubbs and Danny Stubbs (Lucy) of Iowa; and sister in law, Judith Stubbs of Iowa. He is also survived by grandchildren whom he loved very much, Bryce, Nash, Julia, Savannah, Devin, Damon and Trasun and great grandchildren, Hero and Eva, and a dear friend, Gail McDermott of South Carolina.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Welch Funeral Home, Montross, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
