Betty Jean Horton, age 88, of Farnham, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Born in Accotink, Virginia, she lived for many years in the Northern Neck. She was a homemaker and the widow of Henry Harrison Horton. Betty loved her family, birds, crocheting and flower gardening. She was a sweet loving woman whose grandchildren were everything to her.

She is survived by sons, Ronald W. Horton and his wife Coral, and Darrell B. Horton and his wife, Betty; daughter, Donna J. Barden and her husband, Marshall; daughter-in-law, Joan Horton; grandchildren, Jason Horton (Melissa), Lindsay O’Connor ( Shaun), Erin Gordon (Billy), Brett Horton (Kylie), Rebecca DiPardo (Derrick), Bradley Barden, Matt Barden (Kim), Missy Sjogren, and Chris Sjogren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Doris Petitt; two sisters, Shirley Gutridge, and Joan Hensley; and her beloved daughter, Nancy A. Sjogren.

A memorial service will be held at Pope’s Creek Baptist Church at 11:30 am on Saturday, June, 23, 2018.
