Thelma Booth Newsome departed her earthly life on Monday, June 4, 2018. A resident of Heathsville, Virginia, she was a homemaker and a member of Coan Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late James A. Booth and the late Inez Bray Booth and she was the widow of Claude “Jimmy” Newsome.

Thelma is survived by her children: James D. Newsome (Penni), of Charlottesville; Gregory E. Newsome of Heathsville; Pamela A. Sydnor of Mathews, Virginia; and Jennifer Sulik (Vince) of Warsaw and was predeceased by her son William Claude Newsome. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Nikki Balderson, Jason Newsome, Steven Newsome, Christopher Sydnor, Jarrett Gordon and Brighton Gordon.

Services will be held at Coan Baptist Church in Heathsville on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Lee Farmer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
