John Thomas Bruce Compton, 45, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He managed, ran and opened hotels, and enjoyed to go on cruises. John loved his family and was loved by them.

He is survived by his parents, Harley and Eleanor Compton; brothers, Harley Compton, Jr. of Howertons and Paul Compton of Hague; sister, Linda C. Self (Charles) of Newland; nieces and nephews, Kirsten Self, Kaitrin Self, Harley Compton III, Aaron Compton and Josh; and one great-nephew, Grayson.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Warsaw Church of God. Family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Warsaw Church of God.
