Obituary for Madison Hilson Bromley

Madison Hilson Bromley, 81, of Callao passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018. He retired as a Supervisor with Contel Telephone Company after 32 years. He also enjoyed a retirement career as a School Bus Driver for Northumberland County Schools for 19 years. He was a Deacon, Trustee, and Men’s Sunday School Teacher at Coan Baptist Church.
Madison is survived by his loving wife, Ida Smith Bromley; a son, David Bromley and wife, Cynthia; two grandsons, David Ryan Bromley and wife, Erin, and Patrick Christopher Bromley and wife, Julia; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Adalynn. He is also survived by his dog, Little Sam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilson L. and Georgia O’Bier Bromley a brother, Wendell Bromley and sister-in-law, Mattie.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Coan Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Farmer officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Coan Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Coan Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 156, Heathsville, VA 22473.
