Warren Carrington Dameron, 97, of Callao passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, February 10, 2018.
Born in Callao on January 16, 1921, Warren was a 1940 graduate of Callao High School. He was the beloved son of Frank Warren and Lydia Welford Dameron. Warren married his beautiful bride, Blanche Virginia Rasmussen Dameron on May 9, 1942 in Elkton, Maryland. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. He retired from the Washington D. C. Metropolitan Police Department after 30 years of service and came back home to the Northern Neck.
He is survived by wife of 75 years, Blanche Virginia Dameron of Warsaw; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Linda Dameron; grandchildren, David (Melanie), Jason (Jennifer), Adam (Jennifer), Candice (Aaron), and Allison; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Warren Christian Dameron.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel, Warsaw with interment at Bethany Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at 1:00 pm.
