George David “Little D” Jones, 29, of Montross, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. He was a self employed farmer, a member of Westmoreland County Vol. Fire Dept., Westmoreland Hunt Club, Virginia Dog Hunting Alliance, Pantico Run Hunt Club and Eastern Virginia Young Farmers Association.
David is survived by his partner, Alexandra Jones; sons, George David Jones, III and Jeffrey Flynn Jones; and father, George David Jones, all of Montross. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Margaret “Mammie” Jones and paternal grandmother, Beatrice K. Jones. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Ann Jones; maternal grandfather, Clifton M. Jones, Sr. and his paternal grandfather, Francis E. Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Westmoreland Co. Fire Department, Montross, VA. Interment will follow at Popes Creek Baptist Cemetery, Baynesville, VA.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel.
