To all Carroll's Family I would like to express my sincere condolences on the passing of Carroll. I first met Carroll at the Meadows in Warsaw Va. where my mother in-law had been a resident and where Carroll was also staying at that time. Carroll and I had many conversation about simliar paths we took in life such as our love for music, our navy days, and our similar veiws on life to name a few. Although several generations apart, Carrol had a unigue way of relating to anybody of any age. When Carroll started the Rivah notes band he ask me to be his Drummer, I replied, Carroll my experience was in rock, jazz and blues playing not country or gospel music. He responded with don't worry about it we'll make it work, always the optimus he did just that with the five original group members at first, and then at last I heard, now encompasses ten to fifteen musicans at times and contiues to be a big event to this day for folks that come to watch the show. I was glad to have cross path with Carroll and I will always remember him as a great guy who made people happy, whether in conversation, his music or just being in the same room listening to him pluck those strings on the steel guitar or his 1930's Gibson Guitar his dad gave him in his youth. May God bless Carroll soul, the world was a better place that he had been in it. God Bless you all, Sincerly, Mike, Sue, Ian and Becky McGlinn
