Mary Lee  Haywood (Tallent)
HAYWOOD, Mary Lee Tallent, age 82, of Warsaw, Va. peacefully passed away at the home of her daughter, Linda Mitchell, on Friday, October 27, 2017. Mary Lee was a member of Beulah Baptist Church at Lyells and graduated from Warsaw High School. She was employed by Southside Bank in Tappahannock for more than 30 years retiring as a bank branch manager. Mary Lee was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother who loved eating her dessert before her meals. She was predeceased by her parents, Oren Lee Tallent and Marjorie Dot Brown Tallent. The widow of Robert Lynell Nash and James S. Haywood, Jr., Mary Lee is survived by her beloved children, Sue Nash Jones (Bill) of Montross, Linda Kay Nash Mitchell (Scott) of Walkerton and Curtis Lee Nash (Debra) of Warsaw. She was blessed to be survived by grandchildren, Mary Kay Baughan (Robbie) of Warsaw, James Scott Mitchell and Ali Mitchell of Walkerton, Art Wright, Jr. (Beth) of Richmond, Rob Wright (Kelly) of Tappahannock, April Ellis of Montross and her “adopted” granddaughter, Emily Rothery. Great-grandchildren include Megan, Rillee and Madison Baughan, Julian and Adrian Wright, DeeAnne Ellis, Christopher Curtis and Matthew Erickson, and great-great grandson, Landon Page. The family is forever grateful to care-giver, Nannie Taylor, of Walkerton for the wonderful and loving care given to Mary Lee. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Welch’s Funeral Home-Marks Chapel (Warsaw). Visitation will be held immediately preceding the service from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 130 Beulah Lane, Warsaw, VA 22572 or Mattaponi Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 15, Walkerton, VA 23177.
