Benjamin Haynes Pierson, age 81, of Williamsburg and formerly of Farnham, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017. He was born in Warsaw, Virginia on February 5, 1936 to Howard and Eunice Pierson. Benjamin worked as a Sewing Machine Mechanic for Levi Strauss for over forty years.

He is survived by his wife, Opal S. Pierson; a daughter, Shirley Vermillion (Peter); four grandchildren, Jesse, Cody, Brady and Toby Vermillion; a sister, Lois Saunders (Butch); and a sister-in-law, June Pierson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Pierson.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Kilmarnock.

A reception will follow the service at the home of Kyle and Jen Pierson, 2205 Hales Point Road, Farnham, 22460.
