Ira Buchanan Fallin, Jr., age 89, of Richmond, passed away on June 7, 2017. Ira was a graduate of Callao High School and a 1949 graduate of the University of Richmond where he remained active in the Alumni Association. During his career he taught school at Farnham High School and was a Life Insurance Agent for Home Beneficial. Upon moving to Richmond Ira continued his career with Home Beneficial as Head of the Claims Department. He enjoyed sports especially coaching men’s softball and was an avid golfer and charter member of Indian Creek Country Club.

Ira was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Buchanan and Beulah Lewis Fallin; and a brother, John Milton Fallin.

He is survived by cousins, Gayle Lewis Riley, Jane Lewis Mothershead, Ann Anthony, Nancy Fisher, and Nelson Sutton; ex-wife, Nancy and her sisters, Darlene and Charlotte; and many other relatives who loved him dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Fairfields Baptist Church Cemetery.
