On June 21, 2017, beloved wife of Gerald Mazetis, and loving mother of Christopher Mazetis (Mary), Cecelia Ann Mazetis, 77, of Heathsville, Virginia, passed away in Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Visitation will be held at the Welch Funeral Home on June 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Virginia at 1:00 p.m. Welch Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Cecelia was born in Washington, D.C. to Joseph and Josephine Keefe on April 22, 1940. She went to high school at Mount Vernon High School, in Alexandria, Virginia and graduated in 1958. She worked as a receptionist for Alexandria National Bank for eight years. She enjoyed reading and current events as hobbies and spent 52 wonderful years as devoted wife and mother.

Cecelia is survived by her caregiver husband, Jerry Mazetis of Heathsville, Virginia; son, Christopher Lee Mazetis (Mary), of Pasadena, Maryland; sisters-in-law, Sandra Keefe and Helen Talley, nephews Steve and Danny Keefe; and niece Donna Oche. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Keefe, and brother Joseph Keefe. Cecelia has been a cancer survivor since 2012 and has struggled with the debilitating effects of chemotherapy and stroke over the years.
