Obituary for John H. Harrington

John Holman Harrington, 71, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. John was the loving husband of Rebecca “Becky” Allen Harrington and a member of Cople Parish Episcopal Church and Choir.
John was a member of Westmoreland County Ruritan Club, the Westmoreland Lodge # 212 A.F. & A.M., the Montross Moose Lodge #2333. John worked for a short time at Mill Masonry Company, Falls Church, VA. He was very active in life, where he retired as Vice President of the Bank of Montross, a retired Loan Officer for Signet Bank, and a retired real estate agent for Rivah Reality and Century Twenty-one.
John also served as manager for Mid Rivers Cancer Center, Montross. After his retirement, he was the first hire at Erica Mall where he worked until he became sick.
John is preceded in death by his parents; John Gilbert and Ruth Omohundro Harrington, a brother Kenneth Bruce Harrington, a sister Jane Harrington Miller and a granddaughter Delaney Yeatman.
He is survived by his wife, his son Al Yeatman and wife Kellie of Colonial Beach, his daughter Melissa Yeatman and wife Tiffany Caylor of Montross, grandchildren: Trevor Yeatman, Corrin Varner and husband Ben, Chaz Herndon, Dillon Herndon and wife Desiree. Also, surviving are great-granddaughters Charlee Herndon and Willow Varner.
The family will receive friends at the Montross Chapel of the Welch Funeral Home on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Masonic Service
A celebration of life will be held at the Yeocomico Episcopal Church, Kinsale, VA on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
