Mary Blanche Rowe Hamed, 92, of Montross went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2017. She was a member of the Church of Our Savior, Hillendale, MD, the Providence Women’s Club and the widow of Kenneth A. Hamed. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter Monds and Martha Marmaduke Rowe, one brother, Francis Rowe and a sister Elsie Custer.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth A. Hamed, Richmond, VA; two daughters Joyce Ann Hunt and husband Roy R., Jr., Williamsburg, VA and Linda D. Worrell, Fredericksburg, VA; one sister, Betty Ann Nash and husband Raymond, Montross. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the Montross Chapel of the Welch Funeral Home with interment at 2:30 p.m. in Historyland Memorial Park Gardens, King George, VA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017.
