Virginia Bowman Richards, 94, of Colonial Beach, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 17, 2017. She was a member of Currioman Baptist Church, and the widow of George Bowman and John Tyler Richards, Sr.
She is survived by five daughters; Mary DeAtley and husband Frank, Jr., Colonial Beach, Estelle Meyer and husband Edward, Wichita, KS, Ann Church and husband Gene, Colonial Beach, Brenda Schools and husband Micky, Warsaw, Linda Patterson and husband Billy, Orange, VA, Also surviving are many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Pauline B. Callis and a brother Earl Woodring and many other brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Currioman Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Montross Chapel of the Welch Funeral Home.
