Ruth Allene Mahan, 80, of Village, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. She was a member of Totuskey Baptist Church.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Charles Dunaway (Jackie), Dennis Dunaway (Kimberly), Kenny Dunaway (Diane), David Dunaway (Angie), and Michael Dunaway; daughters, Carrol Balderson (Norman), Patsy Bryant, Brenda Weston (Eddie) and Linda Newman (Paul); step-sons, William Mahan, Jr. and Larry Mahan; step-daughter, Joyce Brungardt; brothers, Norris Dameron, William Dameron and Edward Dameron; sisters, Corrine Bowen, Shirley Wilson, and Lena Fones; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Melvin Mahan, parents, George and Annie Dunaway, grandson, Donnie Smith, Jr., and sisters, Mary Davis, Katherine Bell, and Frances Kennison.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Totuskey Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Welch Funeral Home-Marks Chapel.
