Alice R. Standbridge, 92, of Montross went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Mrs. Standbridge was a member of Edgewater United Methodist Church, and a retired bookkeeper for Montross Furniture and the widow of John William “Bill” Standbridge.
She is survived by a son William Spencer Standbridge and wife Pam of Montross; brother Charles Meredith, Richmond; sister, Lydia Bowles, Glen Allen, grandchildren Spencer Scott Standbridge (Monique), Jason Allen Carpenter, James William Carpenter Kelly Rae Standbridge, Janet C. Glading (Roy); great grandchildren; Jessica Carpenter, Jonathan Carpenter Cheyenne Meadows, Emily Carpenter, Spencer Logan Standbridge, Allen Meadows, Tyler Scott Standbridge and Isabella Glading.
She was preceded in death by a son John William Standbridge, Jr., a daughter, Sandra S. Carpenter four brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Montross Chapel of the Welch Funeral Home. The family will receive friend one hour prior to services.
