James Leonard Bennett, 74, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, January 2, 2016. He was a retired Lieutenant at Northern Neck Regional Jail and the son of James and Hazel Bennett.

James is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bennett; daughters, Donna Frederick (Clay), Melissa Haydon (Patrick) and Becky Vess (Jerry); grandchildren, Ashley Deihl, Brittany Frederick, Dylan Haydon, Kylee Haydon, Logan Vess and Jayden Vess, and great-grandchildren, Tenley Deihl and Luke Deihl.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Welch Funeral Home-Marks Chapel.

Family will receive friends at 1 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
