Condolence: Technology is not my friend,so I'm hoping you find this rememberance once It isn't any easier to keyboard the third time than the first. Joanne was good at tecnology, art word smithing and dancing... Joanne was my friend of many years We first met at an inservice for teachers at Nortumberland I remembering glancing over at Joanne while a coach complained about his students refusing to tackle the guys on the other team because they were afraid they might hurt them . " See " I said, " we finally taught them something " " To use their words" Joanne replied For the next ten years we alternated playing each other's straight man. AfterJoanne got her diagnosis she fought long and hard to reverse its inevitable course and to maintain her worth She had someone bring in a bathtub into classroom and filled it with pillows so the kids would have wonderful place to read It was also a place for her to renew her strength so she could effectively teach till the end of the day At her retirement dinner I had the honor of giving the speech She didn't want anyone to cry so it had to be funny. I used her lyrics for the songs we had used to cheer us up when we taught - the titles of which would not be appropriate to mention here. I'm sure she wouldn't want to see us cry now either. I'm sure God has met this wildly creative woman with a song and a dance...

Condolence: I treasure my memories of Jo Ann during our visits to The Orchard. She was funny with a dry sense of humor and she loved chocolate! It was hard to see her drift away but I know she is happy now. Condolences to all of you.

Condolence: My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Jo Ann was more then just my cousin and I have a lot of fine memories of her growing up. Especially the summer I spent with her. Will miss you.
