Betty Jane Gibbs, 79, of Warsaw passed away Feb 18, 2016. She was the wife of C. W. Gibbs for 60 years.

Betty Jane received her higher education at Mary Washington College and Pan American Business College. She was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star. After college Betty Jane operated her own nursery school. She also taught school and worked for an Insurance office. Betty Jane was always volunteering to help youth before retiring and moving back to Warsaw. She worked for the Voter Registrar’s Office. She enjoyed fishing on the Rappahannock and camping from Maine to Florida.

She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Virginia Beth Gibbs and Jane Landin Gibbs.

A memorial service will be held at the Cobham Park Baptist Church on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
