Obituary for Martin Edward Schwendeman

Martin Edward Schwendeman, 80, of Montross, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015.
He was a U.S. Navy retired Veteran having served in Korea and Vietnam, a member of the USS Pyro A24 retired Navy organization and a member of the American Legion Post 252, Montross.
He is survived by his wife Patricia B. Schwendeman, two sons; Robert L. Schwendeman and his wife Teresa of King George, VA and Michael E. Schwendeman, Petersburg, VA ; a daughter Sherri L. Bankson and husband Jeff of Goose Creek, SC, seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a niece Linda M. Dean, Maridia, ID.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children Betty L. Schwendeman, a son David Schwendeman and a sister Diana Mayo.
Funeral services and interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Quantico National Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Montross Chapel of the Welch Funeral Home
