Kathleen Southard Tyler (Kitty) 94 of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior, October 9, 2015.
She was born in Washington D.C. on March 27, 1921 (Easter Sunday) to Roy Dent and Catherine Sanford Southard.
Kathleen was married to the love of her life, Robert Hall Tyler, for 50 years.
She was a devoted wife and mother and was always involved in her children and grandchildren's lives.
Kathleen was an active member of many community organizations, the DAR and the Episcopal Church. Some of her interests included travel, dancing, bowling, and having an all around good time. Kathleen will be greatly missed for her sense of humor, contagious smile and her willingness to help her friends and neighbors.
Kathleen is survived by her son Robert Tyler (Debbie), daughter, Catherine Wood (Mike), grandchildren, Diana Moore (Robert), Sarah Keene (Joseph), Meredith Wood, and great granddaughter Jordan Moore.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert, sister, June and brother Carlyn.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16 at 3pm at St. John's Episcopal Church in Warsaw, Virginia.
