Evelyn Hundley Owens, 64, of King George, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015.
She is survived by her husband, James "J.C." Owens, Jr.; daughters, Susan Straughan (Barry) of Hague and Julie Owens (Jeff) of King George; brothers, W. Lindburg Hundley of Tappahannock, and James "Fims" Edward Hundley of Tidwells; sister, Frances H. Swann of Montross; grandchildren, Erin Roberts, and Emily, Olivia, Heather, Amanda and Jessica Straughan. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrtle Hundley, and brothers, Walter "Tootsie" Lewis Hundley and Gene Autry Hundley.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Welch Funeral Home-Montross Chapel with interment following at St. James Episcopal Cemetery in Tidwells. Family received friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Welch Funeral Home- Montross Chapel. Pallbearers were Jeff Fain, Barry Straughan, Robert Owens, Robert Swann, Harvey F. Swann, Jr, Denzal Chatham, Kevin Hundley, and Jimmy Hundley. Memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis, 2112 W. Laburnam Ave. # 204 Richmond, VA 23227.
